A glimpse into the Mind of Adam Sill

Where Darkness Meets Light
I sit in solitude, staring at the blooming tree in envy of its beauty and extravagance. I forget that I am God's greatest creation.I look to the sky, longing to fly high above the clouds. I look at the water, desiring to swim deep down to the base of the ocean. I want to leave this cold hard world, for it has brought me nothing but heartache. I impatiently wait for the day when I am face to face with the Lord. He will take me in his arms and say, "Hush darling, everything will be alright." For my list of accomplices reads like a haiku. My actions have taken me down the dark and desolate road that I cannot saunter through. I turn away and I see the enemy. His face is as pale as sheepskin. He has the eyes of a cat, and the long, slimy tongue of a serpent. His scaly hand rests on my shoulder as a cold, deathly whisper leaves his lips. He says to me, "You are alone. You are worthless. And you cannot escape the sin that is pulling you deeper into the fiery depths of Hell." So I run to the Father without turning my head. I rush into his arms and he says, "You have left the Dark Road in your past and you have joined your brothers and sisters in the light. Now take pen and parchment and write down what has taken place here, today." So I take up my sword and put pen on paper. Is this what I am for? If so, then I shall never stop. Applaud my words, for they are my actions .Now I walk through a grove of trees and I feel the Savior's hand on my heart. I feel His love flowing through me. And I know that I am home.
